Embracing the Eucharist: Corpus Christi
The Feast of Corpus Christi invites us to reflect on the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, a mystery not just of symbolic remembrance but the actual embodiment of Jesus in the form of bread and wine. We believe that during the consecration at Mass, they truly become His Body and Blood. Our belief is rooted in His words at the Last Supper: "This is my body... This is my blood."
We also contemplate the transformative power of this Sacrament in our lives. As we receive Holy Communion, we are called to embody love, compassion, and mercy in our daily interactions. It nourishes us spiritually, strengthening us to live out our faith with acts of charity and service. In participating, we are reminded of our mission to be Christ's hands and feet in the world, bringing His light to those around us. Let us embrace the grace offered in the Eucharist and strive to reflect it in all that we do.
