The Joy of Christ's Presence
The third week of Advent invites us to embrace the joy found in knowing God is near. Amidst the challenges and uncertainties of life, it is easy to lose sight of the deep and abiding joy faith offers. Gaudete Sunday reminds us joy is not rooted in fleeting circumstances but in the unchanging love and promises of God. The rose candle symbolises light breaking into the darkness, a reminder even in our struggles, the presence of Christ remains a source of enduring gladness.
This joy calls us to action. It is not a passive emotion but a force inspiring gratitude, generosity, and hope. As we prepare for Christmas, let us seek ways to share it with others - through acts of kindness, words of encouragement, and a spirit of compassion. By doing so, we reflect the light of Jesus to a world in need, showing true joy is found in living out His love.
